A quick poll
Are there any ladies in their twenties out there who DON'T like the BBC Pride and Prejudice series starring Colin Firth? I think that is the universal adapter for the twenty-something female.
Just a man, with a man's courage.

For purposes of this poll, you have to have seen it.
I've never seen it, either.
Women in their twenties? I thought it was women in their thirties and forties who really go for the Firth in a big way. Particularly as Darcy in P&P. Perhaps his appeal extends to the youngsters in their 20s, but I would think they would have much better choices in Orlando Bloom, Josh Hartnett and their ilk. Firth is for the thinking woman of a certain age.
Well, I certainly do love it. But I'm an old dead spinster on the inside, just waiting for some cantankerous old gent to sweep me off my feet and demand tuna noodle casserole on the dinner table by 5:15.
I have no idea how to make tuna noodle casserole.
But Colin Firth is a gentleman of taste. I bet he'll just bring home take-out.
I'm not sure if Firth alone is the big draw. Perhaps it is that the character of Mr. Darcy is enchanting and Firth plays him with aplomb. I don't know. All I know is that I have yet to meet a woman in my age range who has seen it and not loved it.
