Fidget, fidget
NOTHING to do today. We've hired two new people for our department, and at the moment there simply isn't enough work to keep all of us occupied. Jenni, it seems, is in a similar situation. Mutual-boredom-fueled-blog-comment-o-rama!
"Forget My Chrome Embrace," and the Sight Unseen Festival as a whole, was supposedly reviewed in Backstage West this week, but the review isn't on their website. I don't know where I can get a paper copy. Stupid Backstage West.

Have we heard anything about the review? Is it a good review? A bad review? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STONE, DON'T LEAVE ME HANGING HERE!
I'm a little sleepy still.
Backstage West left us hanging until NEXT WEEK. Apparently there were space issues this time around. Sorry.
A couple of reviews needed to be bumped to next week for space, apparently; and since the Summer Fest piece (as it reviews FIVE plays) was the longest, it was first on the block. (This is pretty funny, since the issue still maintains a sidebar about promising creative force Andy Mitton, but no actual discussion of the festival. Also because apparently one of the other L.A. plays we had to make room for stars J. August Richards.)
I think we should be online by Monday.
During my lunch break I swung by 7-11 to check out the new issue, and I was flipping and flipping and didn't see it. I was like "But there's Andy... where's the review?"
They needed to stick that J. August Richards play in there because Alan Tudyk is on the cover. They needed that Joss Whedon-alum symmetry.
This fucking review is driving me crazy. So, yeah. No. I'm never allowed to read it. NEVER. Good or bad. NEVER ALLOWED TO READ IT.
I just want to know if it exists. That's all. Just want to know if it's out there, corrupting the minds of millions.
Let's all remember to keep Liz away from the trade papers when the inevitable movie she penned comes out.
Hey, if I'm going to be one of those cool, nonchalant types who never reads her reviews because she JUST DOESN'T CARE, I gotta start early.
And I'm so cool and nonchalant, you know.
