On dopplegangers
At Sam's party last weekend someone (Sam? McKenna? Kim thinks it was Frank) mentioned to me how much they think Jack Nicholson in the posters for The Departed looks like Captain Amazing. I confessed I hadn't noticed. But now that it's been pointed out to me, I can really see it. In fact, it is now all I can see.

Yeah, I dunno. Greg Kinnear's character in Mystery Men didn't really look anything like that.

Citing Mystery Men only embarasses yourself, Mike.
God, and don't even remind me about that whole rights battle the Captain got into with Universal over the name trademark. Remember his subsequent heel turn, when he dyed his beard blond and started going by, what was it, "Captain Glendale"? I found that whole period embarassing. Thank goodness he's back to good ol' Captain Amazing.
Also, as I confirmed for Jeff in person, it was Sam who pointed out the visual similarity.
See, I thought it was Sam. But Kim said it was you. And she said I was drunk. The nerve of some people!
